Kumkum Lehenga Collections

RaiR Kumkum — Fourteen Umbrella Lehengas for Festive Evenings

Kumkum is a compact lehenga edit built around one silhouette. All fourteen designs are umbrella lehengas, and twelve of them are made to measure rather than bought in a fixed size. The character of the line is festive rather than bridal. The colours run to dusty green, rama green, teal, blue, purple, pink and wine, with a single red bandhini piece as the one traditional note. These are outfits for Diwali and Navratri evenings, sangeet nights, engagements and receptions occasions where you want the full circular flare of an umbrella skirt without the weight and formality of a ceremony lehenga. Faux georgette dominates for its drape, with organza for the digital-print pieces, plus satin blend, art silk and net. The work is sequins and embroidery across almost the whole range, with two digital prints and one bandhini. Nothing here is so heavily worked that it becomes difficult to move in, which is the point of a festive lehenga as opposed to a bridal one.

Prices run from the low sixties to around two hundred and sixty, so the collection spans a genuinely useful range an accessible option for a family party and a considered one for a reception. Sizing goes from 32 to 56 on the made-to-measure designs, cut to the measurements you supply. The two ready-to-wear pieces are held in single sizes only, so check what's listed before choosing one of those. Several designs carry squad pricing if a group wants the same style in different colours. Nine of the fourteen are sleeveless, with four half-sleeve and one cap sleeve worth filtering if you want coverage for a UK winter function. Cbazaar manufactures in India and works directly with the embroidery units behind this sequin and thread work.
