Anarkali Lehenga Design

Anarkali Lehengas in the UK — Every Design Has Sleeves

The anarkali lehenga borrows the fitted bodice and long flared kameez of an anarkali suit and pairs it with a lehenga skirt and dupatta. The result covers more than a conventional choli while keeping the volume and occasion of a lehenga, that coverage is absolute: all 26 designs have sleeves, 13 of them full sleeve and 11 three-quarter. Not one is sleeveless. For UK shoppers that matters. Finding embellished Indian formalwear with real sleeve coverage usually means compromising on the outfit itself; here it's the default. Top lengths run from knee and calf through ankle and floor length, so you can choose how much of the skirt shows beneath. Underneath, 16 are A-line and 10 umbrella. Faux georgette leads the fabrics, with art silk, net and chinon. Sequins appear on 23 designs and embroidery on 21, with zari on 10, stones on 9, beadwork on 5, and 4 pieces carrying genuine hand embroidery rather than machine work. The palette is deep rather than pastel: blue, navy, turquoise, teal, purple, wine, burgundy, rani pink and black well suited to receptions, engagements and evening functions. Sizing runs 32 to 60 and XS to 3XL, with 17 designs made to measure and cut to your own measurements. Prices start at sixty-two. Cbazaar manufactures in India and works directly with the karigars behind this embroidery and beadwork.
