Festive Wear for Every Occasion in the Year

India doesn't have one festive season it has several, and they rarely look the same in two homes. Navratri and Garba run through nine nights in Gujarat and Maharashtra while Durga Puja fills the pandals in Bengal. Dhanteras and Diwali bring five days of their own. Lohri and Pongal arrive in January, Gudi Padwa and Baisakhi in spring, Onam and Raksha Bandhan in late summer, with Eid, Karwa Chauth and a long wedding season woven through. This collection of 7,722 pieces is built to cover all of it, for everyone in the house.

What to Wear, Festival by Festival

Navratri and Garba need outfits that move chaniya cholis, umbrella lehengas and sharara suits in bright, saturated colour, with mirror work that catches light as you spin. Many families follow the nine-colour tradition, so a mix of shades is worth planning ahead. Durga Puja traditionally calls for a red-bordered white saree on Ashtami, with silk and tant weaves through the rest of Pujo. Dhanteras and Diwali suit gold zari against green, maroon, teal and mustard. Something lighter works for the morning puja and something heavier with sequins or hand work for the evening card party. Pongal and Onam favour cream and off-white with gold borders, in the Kanchipuram and Kasavu traditions. Karwa Chauth is traditionally red, often with a heavy dupatta. Eid leans towards soft pastels and elegant, covered silhouettes, where Pakistani suits and abaya styles come into their own.

What's Trending This Season

Pastels with heavy sequin work have held their place for a second year, and mirror work has moved well beyond Navratri into everyday festive dressing. Organza is the fabric to watch for lighter, layered looks, while velvet is returning for winter weddings and late-season functions. Co-ord sets and indo-western silhouettes are where younger buyers are shifting, and pre-draped sarees keep gaining ground with anyone who wants the look without the pinning. Among the classics, art silk remains the most-bought fabric here by a wide margin, and embroidery with zari detailing still outsells everything else.

The Whole Family, One Order

For women there are sarees, anarkali and palazzo suits, sharara and straight pant suits, lehengas and blouses. For men, kurta pyjamas are the single largest category on this page, along with bandi sets, Nehru jackets and sherwanis. For children, there are kurta pyjamas and sherwanis for boys and lehengas, salwar suits and gowns for girls, in sizes from one year to sixteen. Jewellery sits alongside it all kundan sets, jhumkas, chaand balis, mangalsutras, bangles and rings so the look is finished in the same order rather than chased the night before.

Ready to Ship or Stitched to Measure

Around 4,600 pieces here are readymade and dispatch quickly, some within a day or two. The remaining 3,100 or so are made to measure, stitched to your own measurements rather than a standard size chart. Sizes run from XS to 6XL and from 32 to 66, with kids' sizes from one year up. If you're buying for a fixed date, order readymade pieces about two weeks ahead and made-to-measure three to four, since courier volumes across India spike sharply in the fortnight before Diwali.
