My blouse always gapes at the back or underarm even when the overall size is right. Does stretch fix that?
Gaping usually happens when a rigid cut doesn't follow your contours at the back, armhole, or bust. Stretch panels let the blouse sit closer to the body in those spots instead of standing away from it, which reduces the gaping a fixed cut tends to leave. For a very specific contour issue, a Fit Trial or made-to-measure is still the surest route.
I'm between sizes (or plus size) and usually get told to size up or even buy two outfits. What are my options?
Selected stretchable styles run from 32/XS to 60/11XL, so you can order your actual size instead of sizing up and hoping. The stretch panels cover the in-between cases that would normally force an alteration — no buying extra fabric or a second outfit for a few more inches.
I'm ordering months before the wedding and my weight might change by then. Is that a problem?
It's a real risk with cut-to-measure blouses, which are stitched to the numbers you give today — and wedding outfits are often bought well in advance. A stretchable blouse has built-in give, so minor weight changes between ordering and the event are more likely to be absorbed than to leave the blouse unwearable. For larger changes, it's worth ordering closer to the date or choosing made-to-measure.
I want to dance and sit comfortably all evening. Won't a fitted blouse restrict me?
