Buying Ethnic Wear Online? Here’s How We’re Solving the #1 Fear

You’ve found the lehenga. The color is perfect, the embroidery is exactly what you pictured for the wedding, and the price feels right. There’s just one thing standing between you and “Add to Cart” — will it actually fit me?

If you’ve shopped for ethnic wear online, you know this hesitation well. Unlike Western wear, where sizes are fairly standardized across brands, ethnic wear is stitched which means the right fit depends on precise body measurements, not just a size label. Get it wrong, and you’re left with an outfit that’s beautiful in photos but uncomfortable to wear, arriving days before an event with no time to fix it.

It’s the single biggest reason shoppers hesitate or abandon their cart entirely when buying ethnic wear online.

We’ve heard this from thousands of customers. So, we built something to fix it.

Introducing Fit Trial

Fit Trial

Fit Trial lets you try the fit before we stitch your outfit not after.

Here’s how it works. When you select Fit Trial, we send you a fully stitched outfit in your selected size first made in simple black georgette, designed to mirror the cut and structure of what you’re about to order. It’s not a sample swatch or a fabric square. It’s a real, wearable garment you can try on at home, the same way you’d try on anything else.

Once it arrives, you have 24 hours to tell us how it fits. Loved it? Just confirm, and we start stitching your main outfit immediately. Something feels off a little snug at the waist, a bit long in the sleeve? Tell us exactly what to adjust, and we’ll use that feedback to stitch your final piece to your real body, not just a standard size chart.

And if your adjustments go beyond what standard sizing can accommodate, we’ll automatically upgrade you to made-to-measure stitching at no extra cost. You don’t have to ask. We handle it for you.

You Keep the Trial Outfit, Too

The trial outfit isn’t something you send back. It’s yours to keep a simple, versatile black skirt and blouse (or kurta and salwar) you can wear as everyday casual wear long after your main outfit arrives. No waste, no inconvenience, just one more outfit in your closet.

Why We Built This

The honest answer? Because “I’m not sure about the sizing” was the most common reason we saw shoppers add an outfit to their cart and never complete the purchase. They wanted the outfit. They just didn’t trust that it would fit and we couldn’t blame them. Buying a stitched garment without trying it on first is a real risk, especially when it’s for a wedding, a festival, or another date that can’t move.

Fit Trial removes that risk entirely. You get to feel the fit before we commit a single thread to your final piece.
