I Hate Luv Storys
A film about filmy love and despite all the practicality and good sense that people have, they still seem to fall for it. The young lead couple, svelte Sonam Kapoor and cool Imran Khan look great together onscreen and share a fairly good chemistry. Even though this candy floss romance by Punit Malhotra doesn't strike as extraordinary in terms of story, performances or dialogue, it sure does achieve what it's supposed to: visual appeal. Great locales coupled with lovely and charming sets make this movie worth watching. And, of course, Manish Malhotra's outfits are yet another reason to watch it. Amazing outfits by Manish Malhotra make Sonam and Imran look uber cool. The look is very urbane and city chic, with a major emphasis on Western outfits. But in a Bollywood romcom that ironically spoofs Bollywood candy floss romantic flicks, how can the Indian Saree be left out, especially with Manish Malhotra as the designer! Sadka Kiya reveals few snippets of sari clad Sonam in a contemporary chiffon Manish Malhotra Designer Saree paired with a bikini style blouse.
Since the entire look of the movie is very Western and contemporary, the Indian Saree has also been styled accordingly by Manish Malhotra. An extremely chic look is achieved by plain georgette or chiffon monotone and dual toned Sarees paired with trendy bikini style Saree Blouse. Minimal jewellery with neutral or light makeup perfectly achieves the typical Bollywood-chiffon-sari-clad-heroine look.
