Maroon

One of the richest shades, maroon is a deep shade of red with brown or purple overtones. It is the most liked color when it comes to Indian Bridal and Wedding outfits. This color denotes courage, strength, grandeur and majesty. Outfits for special occasions are often in maroon with golden or antique gold embellishments.

Apart from black, maroon is not usually combined with other shades since it's a gorgeous shade and designers don't like to mar its splendour by combining it with other shades. Lately, maroon with deep green is a prevalent color combination in Indian outfits. Maroon with grey also looks very elegant and classy.

Maroon suits every skin tone and it should be paired with gold, antique gold or copper colored jewellery.
